On Friday night, the 2019 NFL draft rolled on with the second and third rounds of the draft.
After not having a selection in the first round thanks to ta trade for star pass rusher Frank Clark, the Kansas City Chiefs made a bold move up in the second round.
The Chiefs selected Georgia wide receiver Mecole Hardman, who possesses dazzling speed (4.33 40-yard dash). Hardman is one of the fastest players in the class and has experience in the return game.
Immediately after the pick, everyone on Twitter had the same reaction.
The Chiefs just drafted a replacement for star wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
The pick comes on the heels of news that the criminal case against Tyreek Hill and fiancee, Crystal Espinal, has reportedly been reopened.
The decision comes in the wake of the release of disturbing audio revealing their conversation on the events that led to their three-year-old son suffering a broken arm.
Kansas City announced Hill "will not take part in any team activities" until the team makes a decision on his future.
It looks like the Chiefs could be preparing for the worst - life without Hill on the field.
Stay tuned for the latest from the NFL draft.
