The Fiesta Bowl has already sold out.
Apparently Ohio State and Clemson fans are really pumped for their matchup in the Fiesta Bowl. Just three days after the announcement that Ohio State and Clemson would play in the College Football Playoff semifinal, the game has sold out.
The fact that the game is sold out shouldn't surprise anyone. Ohio State and Clemson have two of the most loyal fanbases in college football, so it was just a matter of time. 72,000 seats is nothing for the Buckeyes, who routinely sell over 100,000 tickets to their home games. But only three days? That is surprising.
Ohio State and Clemson will battle it out for a chance to face either Alabama or Washington in the College Football Playoff Championship Game. The Buckeyes and Tigers both finished the season with just one loss.
The Fiesta Bowl is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. E.T. kickoff on Dec. 31. The game can be seen on ESPN.
