Clemson vs. Ohio State preview:
This one is setting up to be the best bowl game of the entire bowl season, except for the national championship, of course.
Ohio State enters this game with just one loss on the season, a three-point loss to Penn State. Urban Meyer led the Buckeyes to a huge win over Michigan in the final week of the season which clinched Ohio State's spot in the College Football Playoff. After being scrutinized for not winning their conference, the Buckeyes will have a lot to prove in this game against Clemson.
Clemson lives and dies by quarterback Deshaun Watson. The Tigers also finished the season with one loss, at the hands of another Pennsylvania team, Pitt. After a close win over Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship Game, Clemson clinched a spot in the College Football Playoff.
The Tigers and Buckeyes have played two times in history, with the Tigers winning both of those contests, including a 40-35 win in the Orange Bowl just three years ago.
Clemson vs. Ohio State prediction:
Clemson and Ohio State have been two of the best teams all season long, which is why they're in the playoff. Now one of them has to lose.
Deshaun Watson will be the defining factor in this game. If he can get going, Clemson will win. If Ohio State corrals him, Clemson will lose.
So what will happen?
You can only hope to contain Watson, and Ohio State fields one of the best defenses in the country. However, we're predicting Watson will break free for a huge game in this one.
