FIU football is dealing with tragedy today after the death of former defensive back Emmanuel Lubin on Saturday night.
Lubin, who started all 13 games for the Panthers last fall, was killed in a car accident. For his career, he appeared in 45 games, recording 86 tackles and one interception.
FIU released a statement on Lubin’s passing this afternoon.
“Tragically, we lost a great young man in Emmanuel Lubin last night,” said FIU head coach Butch Davis. “He was a hard worker, great teammate and was respected and loved by his teammates, coaches and staff at FIU.”
