The Gators are no longer looking at Chip Kelly.
Chip Kelly is the hottest name in college coaching as we near the end of the 2017 season.
Kelly met with Florida officials earlier this week and then met with UCLA just a few days later. He's reportedly set to make a decision between the two teams on Sunday, according to CBS Sports.
However, his decision may have just gotten easier.
According to Pat Forde of Yahoo, Kelly is no longer in the mix at Florida.
Florida has moved on from Chip Kelly as its potential next head coach, multiple sources have told Yahoo Sports.
Florida administrators met with Kelly on Sunday in New Hampshire and remained in contact with him earlier this week, but no deal was forthcoming between the two. Florida had kept its options open while engaged with Kelly and is now prepared to pursue those other candidates.
The Gators are expected to make a run at UCF head coach Scott Frost after moving on from the former Oregon head coach.
Kelly is now the odds-on favorite to land back in the Pac-12 with UCLA.
