When The Florida-LSU Game Could Potentially Be Played

The Florida-LSU game set for Saturday was officially postponed on Thursday afternoon.

Hurricane Matthews is approaching Florida and the rest of the East Coast. The Category 4 hurricane is expected to be the most-devastating hurricane to hit Florida since Hurricane Andrew in 1992.

As a result, the Florida-LSU game, which was scheduled to be played in Gainesville on Saturday, was postponed. The final sentence of the LSU press release reads as the following: The universities and the SEC Office will work to reschedule the game later in the 2016 season if possible.

If possible? So there is a chance that this game will not be made up at all and the two team's seasons will be cut a a game short?

That shouldn't be the case as there are plenty of open dates that the Gators and Tigers can face off.

Here are some potential reschedule dates people have been throwing out on Twitter.

Nov 19.

The idea of the two schools paying off their two out of conference opponents makes sense, but you have to think South Alabama wants a shot at another SEC opponent after topping Mississippi State earlier this season. Oct. 29

The Florida-Georgia rivalry is one of the biggest in all of college football, but the two teams share the same bye week so what if they squared off during said bye week? After all, with the game postponed this Saturday, this weekend serves as a weekend off for both Florida and LSU.

This is an interesting turn of events as well:

It will be interesting to see what, if anything, happens in regards to the Florida-LSU game. We'll certainly keep you posted.
