The 2018 college football season is still a couple of months away. We have some big news for the 2019 season, though.

A major non-conference game is scheduled to open the 2019 season. An official announcement for the game is coming soon.

College football insider Brett McMurphy reports that Florida State and Boise State will open the '19 season. The game is set for Aug. 31, 2019.

A press conference is coming tomorrow.

"Florida State vs. Boise State Aug. 31, 2019 season opener in Jacksonville will be officially announced at Wednesday news conference," McMurphy reports.

The '19 game is set to be played at TIAA Bank Field, home to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Florida State and Boise State have another game scheduled for the 2020 season.

The Broncos officially listed the 2019 game on their website. It should be a good one.
