Former College Football Player Paralyzed In Game Against Georgia Shares Progress Video

Devon Gales is on his way.

A former Southern wide receiver shared some good news on social media Thursday afternoon. The young man, Devon Gales, posted a video of himself walking with physical therapists less than two years after he suffered a spinal injury.

On September 26, 2015, Gales collided with Georgia Bulldogs kicker Marshall Morgan, resulting in Gales breaking his sixth cervical vertebra.

Thursday morning Gales shared a video showing off his recovery process.

It's great to see Devon working hard, and the entire University of Georgia is behind the young man. According to Saturday Down South, Georgia director of player wellness flew to Gales' home in Baton Rouge after floods devastated the region and picked him up. Georgia even created t-shirts in an effort to raise money for Gales' recovery.

We hope the best for Devon and the entire Gales family.
