Former Florida and NFL linebacker Neiron Ball reportedly finds himself in a fight for his life tonight. The 26-year-old is in a coma and not responding to stimuli, according to a Facebook post.

The Butts County Schools Facebook page shared the information on Bell Monday night, asking for prayers. Ball attended high school in Jackson, Ga.

It is unclear as of now what is causing Ball's condition.

The Myricks and Ball family are asking for prayers to be lifted for JHS alumnus Neiron Ball. He is currently in a coma and is not responding to stimuli as desired, and the family will be with him this week to see what can be done to help him heal and wake up. This young man has already been through so much in his life, and we know the family would appreciate your love and kindness.

Praying for Neiron!

Ball graduated from Florida in 2015 and was drafted by the NFL's Oakland Raiders in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He played in six games as a rookie, making two starts. In his only NFL action, Ball recorded nine tackles and a sack.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ball and his family. Let's hope he is able to recover from whatever is ailing him.
