A former Iowa quarterback has officially signed with the 49ers.
The San Francisco 49ers announced the team officially reached an agreement with former Iowa quarterback C.J. Beathard. The 49ers drafted Beathard in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft with the No. 104 overall pick.
San Francisco tweeted the news from its official account.
Beathard finished his collegiate career with over 5,500 passing yards and 40 touchdowns with just 16 interceptions on 58.9 percent passing. He led the Hawkeyes to a 12-0 regular season in 2015, earning second team All-Big Ten honors.
