A former top Michigan football running back recruit has announced his transfer destination. He's heading to the SEC.

Kareem Walker, a four-star running back coming out of high school, announced on Twitter that he's committing to Mississippi State.

Here's his full statement:

Walker announced this past summer that he was transferring out of Michigan's football program.

The former top recruit entered the Wolverines' program with high expectations, previously being committed to Ohio State, but he was never able to sustain any type of success.

Walker will head to Mississippi State for the 2019 season.
