Former Nebraska Football Player Passed Away At 45

A former Nebraska Cornhuskers football player passed away earlier this week. He was just 45.

Brian Nunns, a four-year letterwinner for the Huskers, died on Thursday. The offensive lineman was a Lincoln, Neb. native.

Nunns, Brian Thomas Age 45 Lincoln, NE. Passed away on May 31, 2018. Born on April 13, 1973 in Lincoln to Thomas and Linda (Wellman) Nunns. Home Builder, Nunns Construction Company. Previously worked as sales manager for Lifetime Fitness (2008-2014). Graduate of Lincoln High School, and University of Nebraska Lincoln, where he was a 4-year Letterman, playing offensive Lineman for the Cornhusker football team. Family members include his parents, Thomas and Linda Nunns; sister, Diana (James) Schilf, all of Lincoln; grandmother, Irene Wellman, of York, NE; nieces, Courtney (Josh) Kounovsky of Plainview NE, and Kelsey (Matt) Koranda, and Allison Schilf of Lincoln; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Naomi Nunns, and Vernon Wellman. FUNERAL SERVICE: 2pm Wednesday, June 6, at Christ Lutheran Church, 4325 Sumner Street.
