No quarterback entered the 2019 college football season with more hype than Trevor Lawrence. The Clemson sophomore was considered the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy a near lock for the No. 1 overall pick in a future NFL Draft.

We're about halfway into the regular season, though, and Lawrence hasn't really come close to living up to that hype.

Clemson is undefeated and Lawrence has played fine, but the Tigers haven't been as dominant as many expected - and neither has their quarterback.

Lawrence threw two awful interceptions in Clemson's win over Louisville today. His stats on the season are far from impressive.

One former NFL player, longtime tight end Antonio Bryant, had a brutally honest summation of Lawrence right now:

"Trevor Lawrence just a Josh Rosen with longer hair," he tweeted.

No offense to Josh Rosen, who is less than two years into his NFL career, but he's not exactly who you want to be compared to if you're a top prospect.

Thankfully, Lawrence is just a sophomore. He's got plenty of time to right the ship and get back to his No. 1 overall status.
