A former Ohio State football assistant coach is reportedly a candidate for a head coaching position in the state of Ohio.
Stan Drayton, a former Ohio State running backs coach who’s currently on Tom Herman’s staff at Texas, is reportedly a head coaching candidate.
Bruce Feldman reports that Drayton has emerged for the Akron job.
“Stan Drayton, an Ohio native who worked at OhioState, is also getting consideration for the Akron head coaching job, per source,” he reports.

Drayton, 47, has been on Texas’ staff since 2017.
He served as an assistant coach at Ohio State from 2011-14.
