Nebraska will be starting a true freshman under center this weekend. Adrian Martinez, a four-star recruit in the 2018 class, was named the starting QB by Scott Frost over the weekend.

A former Huskers' star quarterback, Taylor Martinez (no apparent relation to Adrian), tweeted today a message for Nebraska's new QB.

The old Martinez is wishing the new Martinez luck.

"Best of luck @MartinezTheQB on your first start this weekend. It's a moment you will never forget!!" he tweeted.

Expectations are high for Adrian Martinez moving forward. It's pretty rare for a true freshman to start Week 1 (and, in Nebraska's case, it's never happened before).

Nebraska and Akron are set to kick off at 8 p.m. E.T. on Saturday. The game will be on FOX.
