Former Star West Virginia QB Pat White Lands Coaching Job

Pat White is one of the most-electrifying quarterbacks in the history of college football. The former star QB is getting back in the sport.

The former West Virginia standout has landed his first coaching gig. White will be serving as a quarterbacks coach for a college football program.

Alcorn State has hired the former college and NFL player to its coaching staff. White, 32, will be officially announced as a new coach this week.

Garrett Kroeger first reported the news.

White is one of the most-accomplished quarterbacks in college football history. He holds a number of West Virginia records.

The former West Virginia star went 35-8 as a starting quarterback. He became the first quarterback to start and win four bowl games, too.

White, an Alabama native, spent some time in the NFL and the CFL after his college career. He was a second round pick out of West Virginia in 2009.

Alcorn State is likely going to officially announce White's hiring sometime this week. Stay tuned.
