Six out of six FOX Sports college football analysts agree: Alabama is probably going to be your national champion once again.
That isn't exactly a hot take at this point.
With Tua Tagovailoa under center, Alabama appears to have the best quarterback its ever had in the Nick Saban era...oh, and Jalen Hurts has looked good too.
The defense, which some thought might take a step back, is allowing less than 10 points per game. If that step exists, it was an awfully small one.
FOX Sports' college football analysts updated their College Football Playoff and national championship picks today.
The only real drama is in who will make the field. All six have Alabama as the champion, and honestly, it is hard to argue with that until further notice.
The full picks:
Robert Smith: Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Washington
Dave Wannstedt: Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma
Matt Leinart: Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma
Joel Klatt: Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson
Brady Quinn: Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Clemson
Tim Brando: Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia
The breakdown of those picks:
Ohio State: 6
That's a limited group of teams, but so goes college football. With early losses for clubs like Auburn, Miami, and Wisconsin, which were among the teams being discussed as possible usurpers, it is all previous CFP participants in the drive seats for the four spots.
