You would have to think this is tied to the speculation surrounding Jimbo Fisher.

Florida State has lost a commitment from one of the top recruits in the 2018 class.

Houston Griffith, the No. 9 cornerback and No. 60 overall recruit in the country, announced on Twitter tonight that he's opening things up.

This decision comes right in the middle of the speculation surrounding Jimbo Fisher. The Florida State head coach is rumored to be interested in leaving for Texas A&M and has done very little to make those rumors go away.

Several major programs have significant interest in Griffith, a 6-foot-1 cornerback out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

Notre Dame could be the program to beat here, though other schools could come into play.
