Hurricane Florence is set to wreak havoc on the East Coast later this week. College football games have already been cancelled in anticipation of the storm.

UCF's non-conference game at North Carolina has been postponed, as has West Virginia and NC State. Other games could be next.

As of now, four games have been either called off or moved up due to Hurricane Florence, according to ESPN. Three others are still being monitored.

The full recap is as follows:

  • West Virginia-NC State (cancelled)
  • UCF-UNC (cancelled)
  • BC-Wake Forest (moved to Thursday)
  • Coastal Carolina-Campbell (moved to Wednesday)
  • Still under watch: Marshall-South Carolina, Georgia Southern-Clemson, Old Dominion-Charlotte

Let's be clear: there's no good reason to play any of these games if the safety of players, coaches and fans is at risk. Better safe than sorry.

We'll keep you posted on the status of these games as the week rolls along.
