It wasn't easy for Texas, but its victory over Kansas punched the Longhorns' ticket into the Big 12 Championship.

Sam Ehlinger had one of his worst performances of the year, tossing two interceptions against the Jayhawks. Nonetheless, Tom Herman and his coaching staff put together enough to finish the regular season with a 9-3 record.

Now, the Longhorns await the winner of the game between Oklahoma and West Virginia.

The Big 12 Championship will take place in AT&T Stadium. Kickoff is set for Noon ET, and the game will be broadcast on ABC.

Texas played Oklahoma and West Virginia this season, and although they finished 1-1 in those two games, they were both instant classics. Regardless of whether it's the Sooners or the Mountaineers facing the Longhorns, it should be an exciting battle. After all, this marks Texas' first trip to the conference championship since 2009.

With the Big 12 Championship date all set, it's time to shift focus toward the upcoming showdown between Oklahoma and West Virginia.
