4-Star QB Gerry Bohanon Announces Top 6 Schools

Gerry Bohanon, one of the nation's top uncommitted quarterback recruits, cut his list down today to six big-time programs.

The four-star Earle, Arkansas native announced his top six schools, along with a lengthy note on Twitter. Arkansas, Baylor, Georgia, Louisville, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss all make the cut.

Bohanon has some impressive programs in contention, but it is one of the more unconventional ones that is considered the favorite to land him. Of 10 prognosticators in 247Sports' crystal ball, nine believe he will wind up committing to Mississippi State football. Of course, seeing Dak Prescott's success as a dual-threat QB in Starkville and then as a rookie with the Dallas Cowboys, the chance to play for Dan Mullen probably looks pretty good right now.

Bohanon, the top recruit in the state of Arkansas, is the No. 11 dual threat quarterback in the country, and one of the top remaining uncommitted signal callers in the class of 2018. As a junior, he passed for 2,734 yards and 27 touchdowns and rushed for an additional 1,134 yards and 14 scores.

According to 247, Bohanon was originally set to commit on Friday. Instead, he will weigh his options for a bit longer.
