The No. 1 athlete in the 2017 class is visiting Nebraska on Saturday.
Greg Johnson, a four-star recruit and the No. 1 athlete in the 2017 class per 247Sports' Composite Rankings, will be visiting Nebraska on Saturday. The Huskers are playing Purdue.
His high school program, Augustus Hawkins, announced the news on Twitter.
This is significant for Nebraska two ways.
- Johnson, the No. 100 overall recruit in the 2017 class, is a really good player.
- He is the high school teammate of Joseph Lewis, a five-star wide receiver in the 2017 class who is also highly considering Nebraska.
Lewis, the No. 2 WR and No. 13 player overall per 247Sports' Composite Rankings, won't necessarily be attending the same school as Johnson. He is, though, believed to be considering Arizona (the school Johnson is currently verbally committed to) mostly because of his teammate.
Nebraska's 2017 class is ranked the No. 23 class in the country by 247Sports.
The Huskers and the Boilermakers are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. E.T. Saturday on ABC/ESPN2.
