FOX announcer Gus Johnson is a polarizing figure in college sports - fans typically either love him or hate him. Many are taking exception to the way he's calling Saturday's Ohio State vs. Michigan game.
Johnson is arguably the most enthusiastic play-by-play man in the business. Some are arguing that because of that, he's getting some of the calls wrong on the field.
Michigan's Donovan Peoples-Jones looked like he had a touchdown catch late in the first half, but the referees ruled the pass incomplete. It took a bit for Johnson to realize that, and fans noticed.
Many took to social media to express their displeasure with his over-the-top style.
As for the game itself, Ohio State leads Michigan 28-16 at the half. Both teams have moved the ball well, but the Wolverines have made a few key mistakes. Shea Patterson, in particular, has played well. He's 14-of-19 for 250 yards with a touchdown.
Michigan is looking for its first win against Ohio State in the Jim Harbaugh era. The Wolverines have won The Game just twice this century.
The second half is about to get underway. You can catch the game on FOX.
