Hawaii vs. Middle Tennessee preview:

Hawaii got off to a rough start this year losing three of its first four games, but the Rainbow Warriors rebounded nicely with two wins to close out the season and get themselves into a bowl game. Dru Brown has proven a competent quarterback, with 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions on the season. But where this team really shines is in the backfield. The Rainbow Warriors boast a three-man attack using Steven Lakalaka, Diocemy James and Paul Harris.

Middle Tennessee had quite an up-and-down season, one week they'd take WKU into overtime, and the next they'd lost to Marshall by 25 points. They get excellent quarterback play from Brent Stockstill, who threw 27 touchdowns this year with only five interceptions. Hawaii's defense isn't spectacular by any means, and if he gets going he could torch the Rainbow Warriors secondary.

Hawaii vs. Middle Tennessee prediction:

Hawaii has the good fortune of playing at home, and that's certainly one of the intangibles that factors into their chances here. That, combined with their explosive backfield and Middle Tennessee's weak defense, has me favoring the Rainbow Warriors in a high-scoring affair.

Hawaii 45, Middle Tennessee 35
