One of the most popular bowl games in college football officially has a new home. Earlier this week, it was reported that the Holiday Bowl will no longer be played at Qualcomm Stadium.

Holiday Bowl CEO Mark Neville announced that this year's game will be played at Petco Park. Concept art of how the field will look was revealed on Thursday afternoon.

The ballpark will have the ACC logo in one end zone and the Pac-12 logo in the other. The two conferences signed a five-year contract for the Holiday Bowl in 2019.

The kickoff time for the 2021 Holiday Bowl was also revealed, as the game will take place on Dec. 28 on FOX. Kickoff is currently set for 8 p.m. ET.

This year's Holiday Bowl matchup between the ACC and Pac-12 will be their first since last year's game was canceled due to COVID-19.

Even though Petco Park is a beautiful venue, there are a few college football fans upset with the Holiday Bowl's new site.

"There is nothing that I hate in sports more is when football games are played in baseball stadiums," one fan wrote on Twitter. "It’s such a tacky, ugly look. We criticized 4 yrs how bad of a look it was for the Raiders & A’s sharing a stadium now we’re playing these asinine bowl games at baseball stadiums."

College football fans will get to see the new-look Holiday Bowl later this year.
