Houston Chairman: We Think Les Miles Has Interest In Us

Houston is looking for a head coach.

The head coach job at Houston appears to be a pretty appealing one. Tom Herman, who left the Cougars for Texas, did a great job elevating the program. There's talent in the pipeline and money being poured into the facilities.

Who will Houston be hiring to replace Herman? Perhaps former LSU head coach Les Miles.

Houston Board of Regents Chairman Tilman J Fertitta told Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle that the Cougars have interest in him, and they think he has interest in them.

Miles has also been linked to the Purdue opening, but despite the Boilermakers being a Power 5 job and Houston being a Group of 5 one, there's an argument to be made that he'd be better off going with the Cougars.

The 63-year-old coach had been LSU's head coach since 2005, winning a national championship in 2007. He went 114–34 before getting fired.
