Indiana vs. Utah preview:

By Indiana's standards, its been a good year. 6-6 is just fine for a program on the rise, and the Hoosiers will be taking part in their second consecutive bowl game, a feat they haven't accomplished in roughly 25 years. Despite a shaky quarterback in Richard Lagow, the Hoosiers were able to keep pace with most of their Big Ten foes with a reliable defense. It's a team on the cusp of becoming a perennial 8-win program.

The Utes started off their season winning seven of eight before losing to Washington by just a touchdown. They finished the season with losses to Oregon (yikes) and Colorado, and will look to redeem themselves with a nice bowl win. The weapon of choice for the Utes is RB Joe Williams, who's rushed for 1,185 yards and nine touchdowns on 184 carries. The match-up between him and the Hoosiers front seven will certainly be one to watch.

Indiana vs. Utah prediction:

It's a gut pick, but I'm taking the Hoosiers in this one. They've been just a couple plays away from taking down a top team like Nebraska or Penn State, and I think this is the win that will usher in a new era for the program.
