As for the College Football Playoff, it would appear that the participants will certainly be decided from among these five games. After Alabama’s loss to Auburn, every Power Five team not playing in a title game has at least two losses.
It’s guaranteed that at least one conference champion will be left on the outside looking in.
However, if Georgia upsets LSU, there’s a strong case to be made that both teams could qualify for the College Football Playoff as one-loss teams.
But that’s a bridge to cross if and when we get there.
For teams currently on the outside looking in such as Oklahoma, Utah, and Baylor, all they can do is win – and try to win convincingly if they can help it.
