The Aggies might have lost more than the game Sunday.
They could be without two key starters for the rest of the regular season.
Quarterback Nick Starkel exited the game in the third quarter, while safety Donovan Wilson left earlier. Their absences were felt, as the Aggies blew a 44-10 lead to UCLA, losing 45-44.
Now, Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin revealed on his radio show tonight that Starkel (broken ankle) and Wilson (foot injury) both had surgery and could miss the rest of the year.
Yeah, this was a nightmare opening weekend for the Aggies.
With Starkel out, A&M will have to roll with freshman Kellen Mond, who rushed for 54 yards but completed only 3-of-17 passes for 27 yards.
