Nebraska freshman quarterback Luke McCaffrey has shined in his first real game action of his career today. The Huskers' quarterback has played well in backup duty against Indiana.
McCaffrey, who's played in place of Noah Vedral and the injured Adrian Martinez, has kept the Huskers in the game against the Hoosiers.
The former four-star quarterback, and the younger brother of the NFL star, has thrown for 71 yards and one touchdown. He's added 12 carries for 76 yards.
Unfortunately, it looks like McCaffrey's day could be done. He is reportedly in the injury tent and has his knee wrapped in ice.
Nebraska has yet to release an official injury update on McCaffrey.
The Huskers are trailing the Hoosiers, 38-31, late in the fourth quarter.
The game is on BTN.
