Iowa Coach Takes A Shot At Nebraska During Interview

The Hawkeyes' coach took a shot at the Huskers' recruiting methods.

Iowa offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz threw some shade at Nebraska's football program during a recent interview.

In a podcast with the Des Moines Register, the Hawkeyes' coach took a shot at the Huskers' recruiting methods.

Nebraska's coaches will often talk about how the prepare players for the next level, but the Huskers haven't had a ton of players selected in the last two NFL Drafts.

“We recruit against a couple of schools that talk about a ‘pipeline,'” Ferentz said. “I’m thinking of one a little bit west of Omaha that talks about their pipeline, and I think they’ve had two guys drafted in two years. So I’m not sure how much of the pipeline the coaches have contributed to.”

Shots fired.

Whatever Nebraska's doing seems to be working, though.

The Huskers' 2018 class is currently ranked the No. 11 class in the country by 247Sports.
