Friday's Iowa vs. Nebraska football game is a big rivalry spot for both programs.

Iowa broke a bad skid last week, blasting Illinois 63-0. Nebraska started the season slow, but has rebounded to win four of its last five games, with the lone loss a very close one against Ohio State.

The Huskers may not have a bowl to play for, but motivation hasn't been lacking for them as of late. The Hawkeyes can still get to 8-4 in the regular season, and improve their bowl outlook.

It looks like Friday's Iowa vs. Nebraska football game is going to be a rainy affair at Kinnick Stadium.

Persistent rain is in the forecast for Iowa City on Friday afternoon.

Iowa, which leans on a rushing attack and tight ends in the passing game, is plenty well-equipped to play in a wet slog of a game.

Nebraska is pretty well-rounded though, and actually out-gains Iowa on both the ground and through the air on a weekly basis.

Of course, the weather can change without much of a warning, so we'll have to wait until Friday to see how things turn out.

Iowa is a 10-point home favorite over the 4-7 Huskers. The game is scheduled for a noon kick and will be broadcast on FOX.
