The former Ohio State quarterback taunted Michigan’s head coach with this autograph.
A day after playing in the Shrine Game, J.T. Barrett was back in Columbus today. He had an autograph signing event with some other former Ohio State players.
Buckeye Nation showed up in big numbers for Barrett and Co. People were reportedly waiting in line for hours to get the former star quarterback’s signature.
Barrett, who’s currently preparing for a hopeful career in the NFL, signed hundreds of jerseys, helmets and more. One autograph stood out, though.
Eleven Warriors captured a photo of a helmet Barrett signed. The helmet itself is nothing special. What’s written on it is, though.
“J.T. Barrett, No. 16. It Was A 1st Down Harbaugh. OSU 30, TTUN 27.”
Barrett, obviously, is making a reference to that epic Ohio State-Michigan 2016 game. The Buckeyes won in overtime following a controversial first-down call.
Jim Harbaugh said after the game he couldn’t believe the officials ruled Barrett made the first down. Michigan still hasn’t gotten over it. This probably won’t help:

That’s incredible. Props to the Ohio State fan who (assumedly) asked Barrett to write that.
