Jackson Carman, 2018 5-Star OT, Says Clemson Still Leads

The five-star prospect says the Tigers are still in the lead.

Jackson Carman, a five-star offensive tackle out of Ohio, surprised the recruiting world when he named Clemson his top school at the end of March.

The 6-foot-6, 290-pound prospect out of Fairfield, Ohio updated his recruitment on Sunday.

The Tigers are still in the lead.

The country’s No. 7 recruit openly talked about the possibility of playing for Clemson following the commitment of Xavier Thomas, the No. 2 recruit in the 2018 class.

Clemson beating out Ohio State, the consensus favorite for Carman, would still be a pretty big surprise.

All 15 of the predictions on 247Sports’ “Crystal Ball” still have the Buckeyes landing the elite offensive lineman.

Clemson’s 2018 class is loaded, with commitments from the top two players in the class. Ohio State’s ’18 class is shaping up to be a great one, too.
