Update: Jackson Lowe has committed to Tennessee.

Earlier: Three-star tight end Jackson Lowe's commitment will come later today. This morning, he announced that he will make the decision at 4 p.m. ET.

Lowe is a star at Cartersville High School in Georgia. He's the No. 50 recruit in the state.

247Sports ranks Lowe as the No. 455 overall player in the country. He is the 16th-ranked tight end in the class of 2019.

A number of top schools are believed to be in contention to land Jackson Lowe.

Tennessee is probably the favorite. His decision to commit today comes less than a week after a visit to Knoxville.

82-percent of voters at 247's crystal ball believe he will be a Vol. More, from 247Sports:

The 6-foot-5, 242-pound Lowe, who's one of Tennessee's top tight-end targets in the 2019 class, hasn't named a group of finalists. But the Vols have emerged as the favorites to land him, according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball, coming off his visit to Tennessee on Saturday.

Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Penn State and Clemson are believed to be among the other contenders for Lowe, who has received scholarship offers from nearly 30 schools.

Clemson has the second-most votes, landing nine-percent. Another nine-percent are labeled as "cloudy."

If he does choose Tennessee, as many expect, Lowe will be the third member of the Vols' 2019 class. Tennessee currently has a pair of four-star commits.

The Vols class is ranked 11th in the SEC, and 39th overall. Obviously, it is very early on in this cycle for Jeremy Pruitt and his staff.
