Jake Fromm's first career start at Georgia came in 2017 at Notre Dame. The Bulldogs' then-freshman quarterback struggled in a 20-19 win in South Bend, completing 16 of 29 passes for just 141 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

The Bulldogs' quarterback has come a long way since.

Tonight, Fromm will lead No. 3 Georgia against No. 7 Notre Dame, which has traveled to Athens, Ga. to take on the Bulldogs.

Fromm will certainly have more support inside Sanford Stadium tonight than he did in his previous game against Notre Dame (though Bulldogs fans did show up in a major way for that 2017 game).

Among those people cheering for Fromm tonight is his girlfriend, former Georgia volleyball player Caroline Ostman.

The former Bulldogs athlete posted a heartfelt message for Fromm ahead of this week's game.

"Can’t even begin to explain the joy I feel when I’m with this man. I am in constant awe of his heart for the Lord and others. He is one of the hardest working humans I’ve ever known and is determined to be his best at anything and everything he does. He leads and loves me so well. Praise the Father for His intention and provision in our lives. Happy Anniversary babe, loving you is easy," she wrote.

Ostman and the rest of the Fromm squad will be part of a record-setting crowd at Georgia this evening.

The Bulldogs expanded their capacity at Sanford Stadium by 500 to accommodate ticket requests for the huge non-conference game.

Georgia and Notre Dame are set to kick off at 8 p.m. E.T.

The game will be on CBS.
