Former Tennessee RB Jalen Hurd Will Visit Baylor This Weekend

Former Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd will visit Baylor this weekend as he continues to scout potential transfer locations.

According to 247Sports, former Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd will visit Baylor this weekend as the junior continues to look at possible transfer locations. So far, Hurd has Cal, Ohio State and Louisville.

The 6-foot-4, 240-pound running back was on pace to become Tennessee's all-time leading rusher, before he abruptly announced his intent to transfer in October 2016.

There were rumors that Hurd would test the waters of the NFL Draft, but it's clear he's made the decision to stay in the college realm, at least for another two years. Wherever he lands, Hurd will be forced to sit out the 2017-2018 season to due NCAA eligibility restrictions, as he's not a graduate transfer.

Hurd has also indicated that the may be interested in switching to wide receiver at whichever school he chooses to attend.

In three seasons with the Volunteers, Hurd rushed for 2,638 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns. He also caught 67 passes for 492 yards and six scores.

Hurd rushed for 451 yards and three touchdowns in seven games in 2016.

For what it's worth, Baylor returns Terence Williams and JaMycal Hasty, two of its top three rushers from last season.
