Oklahoma fans got their first look at Jalen Hurts, Sooners quarterback on Friday night, as the program hosted its spring game.

Hurts, who spent three seasons with the Crimson Tide before transferring into Lincoln Riley's program for the 2019 season, did not disappoint.

Oklahoma's new quarterback led the Red team to a 35-14 victory over the White team in front of a crowd of 50,228 at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

“I thought he handled it well, made some nice plays in some scramble situations and made some good decisions in the pocket,” Riley said of Hurts.

Hurts had plenty of fun, too.

Oklahoma's star quarterback had some of his teammates gather for a TD celebration photo following a late score. He admitted that was something he wouldn't have done at Alabama.

“It’s something I didn’t do over at Alabama," he said “Fun atmosphere (Friday night). My old coach Saban, I’d have got a chewing for that one."

Hurts deserves to have as much fun as he wants in 2019. He should be doing quite a bit of winning along the way, too.

Oklahoma is expected to start the 2019 season ranked inside the top five.
