Former Alabama star Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Florida State standout Jalen Ramsey exchanged some friendly trash talk on Twitter.
Florida State and Alabama are set to face off this weekend in what will be the marquee game of college football's opening weekend, and of course, former players are already talking trash in anticipation of the matchup.
Jaguars defensive back Jalen Ramsey and Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix went back and forth on Monday discussing the 2013-2014 national championship game, which featured Florida State taking down Auburn in a thrilling comeback.
Check it out:
Ramsey recorded 49 tackles and an interception in his freshman year with the Seminoles, while Clinton-Dix picked up 50 tackles and two interceptions in his junior season with the Crimson Tide.
Alabama was famously knocked out of national championship contention following the stunning Kick Six defeat to Auburn in the Iron Bowl, and the loss assured that Florida State and Alabama would not meet on the biggest stage in college football.
So while the Chick-fil-A Kickoff game might not carry the same weight as a BCS title game, the implications are still enormous, and the results could determine whether or not one of these teams is left out of the playoff.
You can guarantee Ramsey and Dix will be tuning in.
