Jarez Parks, a four-star defensive end out of Florida, was expected to commit to Alabama today, but instead he will delay his decision.
Parks was all set to make his decision this morning, but instead, he came out and made the emotional decision that he has not yet decided which program to sign with.

Shocker! A very emotional Jarez Parks says he will announce later today. Silence in the auditorium. #TCPrepZone #@NSD17

Over at 247Sports, 78-percent of prognosticators polled for the ‘crystal ball’ had Parks heading to ‘Bama.
It’s hard to really know what is happening here, but there is a chance that he intended to announce for Alabama, and the Crimson Tide are filling that spot with a different, unexpected commit. SEC Country‘s Chris Kirschner reports that the issue is a scholarship crunch in Tuscaloosa.
I said this the other day, but it was looking like there would not be space for 4-star JACK Jarez Parks. He just took the stage at his announcement ceremony to say he’ll be announcing later today now. Alabama will need to miss on 5-star DE LaBryan Ray for Parks to have a spot.
Make no mistake about it, Parks wants to go to Alabama.
If true, that is really tough for a talented player like Parks, especially this late in the process. Hopefully he takes as much time as he needs to make a strong decision. We’re sure there are plenty of other programs that would gladly take the nation’s No. 7 defensive end. Parks also holds offers from dozens of big-time programs, including Auburn, Florida, Florida State, who were reportedly the other finalists heading into today.
