4-Star OT Jarrett Patterson Down To Final 2 Schools
Former Arizona State commit Jarrett Patterson has two schools left in the running with a week until National Signing Day.
Jarrett Patterson is a four-star offensive tackle out of Mission Viejo, California. 247Sports ranks him No. 367 overall in the class of 2018.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Patterson is the No. 25 offensive tackle in the class. He is also the No. 46 recruit in California.
Patterson had committed to Arizona State back in early August. He left the class following the firing of head coach Todd Graham.
He was one of a wave of decommitments in the wake of that decision. Wide receiver Jalen Nailor, linebackers Kendrick Catis and Jacoby Simpson, and tight end Brett Bell joined him over the span of a few days.
The program, now helmed by Herm Edwards, is no longer in consideration. With a week until National Signing Day, just two teams remain.
Patterson took an official visit to UCLA back in December, less than two weeks after he decommitted from ASU. He took an additional unofficial visit to Westwood last week.
Notre Dame came in with an offer in early January, and 10 days later he made his way to South Bend. Those two schools are now vying for Patterson's services. Via 247Sports:
Patterson has eliminated Michigan and is now focusing on the Bruins and Irish.
UCLA head coach Chip Kelly and offensive line coach Hank Fraley will be in the Patterson home on Thursday.
The following day, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly, area recruiter Brian Polian and offensive line coach Jeff Quinn, will have their final in-home with Patterson.
A decision will come after.
That's a lot of recruiting activity down the stretch here. Of course, it's important for Patterson to get things right.
247's crystal ball has UCLA as the favorite here. 75-percent of the recruiting experts polled believe he will be a Bruin a week from today.
