4-Star CB Jaycee Horn Announces Top 2 Schools, Commitment Date

Four-star cornerback Jaycee Horn is down to two SEC programs in his recruitment.

Horn, the No. 213 player in the country per 247Sports, stars for Alpharetta High School in the Atlanta suburbs.

The site also has him ranked No. 23 among cornerbacks and No. 22 in Georgia.

Alabama and South Carolina are the two finalists for Horn. He will be making the choice on July 15.

He made the announcement on Twitter.

His full note:

I'd like to say thanks to all the schools that have recruited me to this point and have given me the opportunity to play at their university. After much thought I've decided to move on with these two programs. I feel like these schools give me the best opportunity of achieving my goals of being a professional football player one day. I've also decided to commit to one of these programs on July 15.

While Alabama is clearly the bigger program, South Carolina might actually be the favorite to land Horn. 247Sports' crystal ball has nine predictions in, and eight experts have predicted that he will be a Gamecock, vs. one for the Crimson Tide.

Of course, as long as Nick Saban is at Alabama, I'd never rule out the Tide in a recruiting battle, especially head to head like this.

Horn also holds offers from Auburn, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Indiana, Louisville, LSU, Missouri, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and many others.
