It’s going to be a tough day for Brent Musburger – that’s for sure.
Jenn Sterger, who rose to fame after being shown on-screen during the 2005 Florida State vs. Miami (FL) game and later worked for the New York Jets, has gotten engaged. Sterger announced late Friday night that she’s now engaged to minor league baseball player Cody Decker, who, in 2015, had a short stint with the San Diego Padres.
She included a nice note in her Instagram post. Check it out:
I think he proposed on a cliff in case I said “no”…. Words can’t describe how much I love this dufus. He’s had my heart since the day we met even though he was dressed like Uncle Sam because his teammates stole his bags as revenge for all the pranks he’s pulled on them. He’s always encouraged me to follow my dreams and fight through the tough times because it would all be worth it. Now I get to spend the rest of my life with him. Cody, you’re the kindest, most loving and honest man I’ve ever met. I’m so happy I found you in this crazy world. This year has not been easy with all the curveballs life threw us but we made it out stronger than ever. Love you @antiherobaseball … thanks for taking me off the free agency market. Ps. Way to sign me long term in an effort to avoid arbitration. #engaged #seriously #this happened #jump #malibu #radiantcut #pleasedontaskuswhenweregettingmarried #itsannoyingalready
Musburger, of course, is part of the reason for Sterger’s fame. After she was shown on-screen, he dropped quite a line. “1,500 red-blooded Americans just decided to apply to Florida State.”
In all seriousness, congrats to the happy couple.
