Jim Harbaugh is about to make some serious cash for making a New Year's Six Bowl.

Despite not making the College Football Playoff, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is still in for massive payday. Written into Harbaugh's contract is a series of bonuses he could receive should Michigan achieve a certain level.

Well, as a consolation prize for not winning the Big Ten and making it into the playoff, Michigan will play Florida State in the Orange Bowl. With Michigan's selection to a New Year's Six bowl, Harbaugh is in for a serious bonus.

According to USA Today, the head coach will receive an extra $200,000 on top of his lucrative $9,000,000 salary.

Had Michigan defeated Ohio State and made the playoff, Harbaugh could have netted $500,000 for making the College Football Playoff National Championship.

Michigan and Florida State will battle on Dec. 30 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FL. The game is slated for an 8:00 p.m. E.T. kickoff and will be broadcast on ESPN.
