Jim Harbaugh didn’t say much following Michigan’s loss to Ohio State on Saturday afternoon, other than saying the program will “take responsibility” for what happened to the Buckeyes.
The Wolverines’ regular season is over, so Harbaugh won’t be meeting with the media until after his team’s bowl game is announced, but we got new comments on the Ohio State game thanks to his podcast.
Harbaugh opened up a bit about Michigan’s loss to the Buckeyes. He was pretty honest.
“Nov. 24, the better team won,” Harbaugh said on his Attack The Day podcast. “Ohio State was the better team. Congratulations to them. Had that been a week later or week earlier, the result might have been reversed.”
Harbaugh fell to 0-4 against Ohio State with the loss on Saturday. He’s the first Michigan coach to reach that mark.
The Wolverines’ head coach added:
“They played better on that day. There’s things in life where they don’t go your way. It almost seems like sometimes life is testing you. I believe the strong end up surviving and the weak end up keep having that happen to them the rest of their lives.”
Michigan will learn where it’s heading in the postseason on Sunday. The Wolverines are believed to be a strong candidate for a New Year’s Six game.
