UPDATE: With further viewing, it's possible that Gattis was yelling at the official and not Harbaugh.

Regardless, it's common for a head coach and his offensive coordinator to have spirited discussions on the sideline. And, now that Gattis is down on the sideline, it should be happening often.

EARLIER: Michigan is off to a a much better start today, as the Wolverines are leading Rutgers, 14-0, early in the second quarter in Ann Arbor.

Jim Harbaugh's offense still has some things to work out, though.

Michigan's offensive coordinator, Josh Gattis, is down on the sideline for the first time this season. This allows him to be more engaged with the players and his head coach.

This also allows for the occasional heated exchange:

Harbaugh and Gattis had this heated exchange after a failed 3rd and 6 attempt. Perhaps the head coach and his offensive coordinator disagreed on the play-call.

Michigan's offense has struggled through the season's first three games. Gattis was brought in from Alabama to change the way the Wolverines attack teams. So far, though, that hasn't happened.

The Wolverines and the Scarlet Knights are playing on BTN.
