LSU quarterback Joe Burrow had a few memorable moments this year that he’ll never forget, but there’s one that stands above the rest. Surprisingly, it’s not the upset win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
Burrow was on ESPN’s SportsCenter this morning to discuss a series of topics before the Heisman Trophy ceremony.
During his interview, Burrow revealed that his favorite moment of the season came when LSU defeated Florida in October. It was a revenge game for the Tigers after falling short to the Gators in 2018.
Prior to that win there were still skeptics doubting LSU. That wasn’t the case anymore following the team’s win over Florida.
Burrow explained on SportsCenter why the win over Florida is his favorite moment of the year.
Here’s what he had to say, via 247Sports:
“That Florida game at home was a lot of fun,” said Burrow, who threw for 293 yards and three touchdowns. “That was probably one of my worst games last year. And I think I was something like 21-of-24 this year when they came to Baton Rouge and that crowd was rocking. That game was a lot of fun.”
While it’s hard to argue with Burrow’s reasoning here, you’d have to think that winning a national title would become his favorite moment – if it happens.
Burrow could also potentially add the Heisman Trophy to his resume this weekend. The winner will be announced at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
