Earlier this week, college football analyst Joel Klatt revealed his top-10 teams following the weekend's slate of games.
Clemson fans were less-than-pleased to find the Tigers at No. 7 on the list. So too, was ACC apologist Danny Kanell, who appeared to sub-tweet Klatt's rankings.
"What do you think of voters that have Clemson as low as No. 7 and out of the College Football Playoff?" Kanell asked his Twitter followers.
Klatt clearly thought Kanell was talking about him and decided to fire back.
"Just put my name in the tweet if you're going to be a troll...Clemson is a really good team that will likely be in the CFP, but to suggest that other teams haven't EARNED a higher rank at this point in the season is misleading and dishonest," Klatt said to Kanell.
Klatt has a point.
Alabama, LSU, Ohio State and Oklahoma have all looked more impressive than Clemson so far this season. Wisconsin could be in that debate as well.
If the Tigers take care of their ACC slate, they will be in the College Football Playoff when all is said and done.
However, it's not a hot take to suggest they haven't been one of the four best teams in the country so far.
