By-and-large, the four-team 2019 College Football Playoff field has been received pretty well. Even FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt can’t help but acknowledge that the selection committee appears to have gotten it right.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Klatt went so far as to suggest that this year’s CFB Playoff “might be the best playoff we’ve had in the CFP’s history.”
Among the things Klatt liked the most of this year’s playoff was the apparent absence of a bad choice for a No. 1 team.
That designation ultimately went to LSU, who jumped Ohio State to claim the spot after a very convincing win over Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.

We now head into the Peach Bowl and Fiesta Bowl with LSU going up against Oklahoma and Ohio State facing Clemson.
With three 13-0 teams and a high-scoring Oklahoma team with an experienced CFB Playoff participant at QB, this very well could be the best Playoff we’ve had in its six-year history.
Klatt certainly seems excited and we are too.
