Joel Williams, a four-star cornerback out of Baton Rouge, La., has narrowed the focus of his recruitment a bit. He maintains that things are still open, but he does have a baker's dozen schools that stand out.

As you'd expect, LSU is involved. Williams attends Madison Prep Academy, just over five miles from Tiger Stadium.

Overall, the SEC is well represented. Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas A&M all make the cut.

They're joined by Clemson, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, and Texas.

Joel Williams announced the top 13 schools via Twitter on Tuesday evening.

He showed off all of those options with a cool graphic:

Williams is a four-star player, per 247Sports' composite rankings, that combine the site's with those from Rivals and ESPN.

He's ranked No. 205 in the country and No. 7 in Louisiana. While he is classified as a cornerback, 247 has his positional ranking under athletes, in which he is No 12 in the 2020 class.

The site's crystal ball predictions are actually a bit surprising. LSU has 38-percent of the predictions, edged out by SEC West rival Texas A&M. The Aggies do a really good job of recruiting the area as well, but it would be a surprise to see the Tigers lose a valued recruit in their backyard.
